A Chinese team has constructed the world's first three-dimensional spatiotemporal cell atlas of the rice full life cycle.
The reporter learned from the Yazhou Bay National Laboratory that the latest rice research achievement, completed through the division of labor and collaboration among multiple Chinese scientific research institutions, was published online on the evening of the 6th in the international academic journal Cell. The content is that our country's research team has, for the first time globally, constructed a three-dimensional spatiotemporal cell atlas covering the entire process of rice from seed germination to flowering and fruiting, integrating genome sequencing, single-cell sequencing, and spatial transcriptome sequencing, providing new research resources for understanding rice growth and development and exploring improvements in grain quality.
