Welcoming the small peak of return travel, China Railway Guangzhou Group plans to add 702 trains today, involving lines such as Beijing-Guangzhou.
It was learned from China Railway Guangzhou Group that on the sixth day of the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, China Railway Guangzhou Group welcomed a small peak in return passenger flow, with an estimated 2.835 million passengers expected to be sent that day, an increase of 617,000 passengers compared with the same period in 2025, or 27.8%. According to China Railway Guangzhou Group, the current passenger flow is mainly return travel, and the passenger flow within its jurisdiction shows a characteristic of moving from surrounding small and medium-sized cities and tourist cities to major cities such as Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Changsha. On October 6, China Railway Guangzhou Group planned to operate 3,835 trains, including 702 additional trains, among which were 107 conventional passenger trains and 595 high-speed EMU trains. The additional routes were mainly the Beijing-Guangzhou, Hangzhou-Shenzhen, Shenzhen-Zhanjiang, and Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong lines, and the operating directions were mainly Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Changsha, Wuhan, and other places. In the early hours of October 7, it was planned to add 401 overnight high-speed trains, mainly heading to Changsha, Chaoshan, Zhanjiang, and other directions.
