Nomura: Raises Alibaba-W (09988.HK) FY2027 adjusted net profit forecast by 7%

Zhito Finance APP has learned that Nomura has issued a research report stating that it expects Alibaba (09988.HK)(BABA.US), in its upcoming second fiscal quarter 2027 results, to further demonstrate its artificial intelligence (AI) strategic positioning. The bank raised its forecast for Alibaba's adjusted net profit for fiscal year 2027 by 7%, mainly due to higher profit expectations for its e-commerce business. The bank gave Alibaba a "Buy" investment rating and a target price of US$178.
