Apple CEO John Ternus, just weeks into the job, is moving to reorganize the iPhone maker to speed up product development, broaden its device lineup, and build a leaner, more engineering-focused company. Ternus has discussed the plans internally with colleagues, marking the first sign of how the former hardware engineering chief intends to reshape Apple after 15 years under Tim Cook. Early ideas under consideration include reducing reliance on the traditional spring and fall product launch cadence and eliminating some middle-management roles to reduce layers between engineers and senior executives. Ternus has said Apple must ship products faster and take a more experimental approach in the AI era to stay competitive. Apple has already initiated cost-cutting measures. Ternus is also looking for new revenue streams and exploring ways to extract more revenue from existing products, especially as the company's services business growth slows.
