The Hong Kong SAR Government issues the fourth batch of digital green bonds.
The Hong Kong SAR Government today announced the successful pricing of approximately HK$20 billion equivalent of digital green bonds under the Government Sustainable Bond Programme, covering Hong Kong dollars, Renminbi, US dollars and euros. After an online roadshow, this batch of digital green bonds was priced on 28 September, with details as follows: HK$5.5 billion 2-year bonds at 3.80%; RMB7.5 billion 5-year bonds at 1.65%; US$200 million 3-year bonds at 5.023%; and EUR450 million 4-year bonds at 3.734%. This again set a new record for the world's largest digital bond issuance. Subscription levels for the bonds in the four currencies ranged from about 1.3 times to 11.3 times the issuance size, further promoting the application of digital bonds and expanding the investor base.
