Lan Fo'an attended the 11th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank via video link.

From September 28 to 29, the 11th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) was held in Doha, Qatar. The theme of this Annual Meeting was "Infrastructure for the Future: Impact and Innovation." Representatives of members held discussions on topics including the AIIB scaling up infrastructure investment and financing, further enhancing development benefits and efficiency, and better helping members address challenges. Lan Fo'an, China's Governor for the AIIB and Minister of Finance, attended the Annual Meeting and delivered remarks via video link. Lan Fo'an noted that with the support of all members, the AIIB has achieved a smooth management transition and embarked on a new journey of development. In the face of a turbulent and intertwined international situation and a growing development deficit, the AIIB should remain unwavering in upholding multilateralism, with everyone's affairs discussed and handled together by all; remain unwavering in its original aspiration and mission, and persistently advance the implementation of the institution's strategic priorities; and remain unwavering in high-standard operations, focusing on improving project quality and development benefits. As the AIIB's largest shareholder and host country, China will work with all members to push the AIIB to reach new development heights in its new decade.
