Simon Ballard, the bank's chief economist, said markets will also focus on relevant remarks from Federal Reserve officials for more clues on the future rate path. He noted in a report that, given that the Fed's rate hike decision this month passed unanimously by a 12-0 vote, any signals regarding the policy outlook will become especially important for portfolio allocation.
