The second phase of the Hainan Commercial Spacecraft Launch Site project has officially begun joint exercises.

Today, the main construction of Phase II of the Hainan Commercial Spaceport was completed and joint exercises were launched. The project has two general-purpose medium liquid launch pads, which can provide launch services for rockets with two-stage configurations under 5 meters in diameter, such as the Long March 12B. After subsequent joint exercises and testing, the two launch pads are planned to achieve launch capability within the year. It is understood that Phase II of the Hainan Commercial Spaceport broke ground on January 25, 2025, covering a total area of more than 1,100 mu. The main construction of the project was successfully completed in only 612 days. With the gradual completion of the Phase II project, the tracking and control system, and the sea recovery system, the Hainan Commercial Spaceport will have a comprehensive launch capacity of more than 60 launches per year, forming a closed capability loop of "launchtracking and controlrecovery."
