Suzhou: From January to August, the city's total output value of industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 7.1% year-on-year.

The Suzhou Municipal Bureau of Statistics released data showing that from January to August, the city's total output value of industrial enterprises above designated size was 3,351.78 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.1%. The added value of industrial enterprises above designated size grew by 9.2%. Key industries provided notable support. The output value of the electronic information industry exceeded one trillion yuan, reaching 1,000.97 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9.9%, contributing 40.9% to the growth of the total output value of industrial enterprises above designated size. The output value of the equipment manufacturing industry was 1,133.19 billion yuan, up 8.7%. The output value of high-tech manufacturing grew by 11.5%, contributing 60.0% to the growth of the total output value of industrial enterprises above designated size. The output value of national-level specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative "little giant" enterprises above designated size grew by 11.8%, 4.7 percentage points higher than the growth rate of the total output value of industrial enterprises above designated size. From January to July, the total profits of industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 13.5% year on year.
