Citi said Tencent is expected to leverage its WeChat ecosystem advantage to drive the development of AI assistant "Xiaowei." The bank believes that Xiaowei, relying on WeChat's massive user base, social relationship network, and mature mini-program commerce system, has strong competitive potential in China's agentic AI assistant market. As the commercialization of AI agents accelerates, Xiaowei may in the future expand its long-term monetization space through models such as transaction revenue sharing and advertising. Citi maintained its "Buy" rating on Tencent with a target price of HK$765, which still implies significant upside from Thursday's closing price.
