2026 Shanghai Cooperation Organization Digital Economy Ministerial Closed-door Meeting Held in Urumqi, Xinjiang

On the afternoon of September 14, the National Data Administration, on the eve of the 2026 SCO Digital Economy Forum, convened the 2026 Shanghai Cooperation Organization Digital Economy Ministerial Closed-door Meeting. Liu Liehong, Administrator of the National Data Administration, chaired the meeting and delivered remarks. With the theme of "conducting dialogue and exchanges and jointly discussing cooperation priorities," the meeting held discussions on topics including digital infrastructure development, unlocking the value of data, industrial digital transformation, and data governance, aiming to further strengthen policy communication, demand alignment, and practical cooperation in the digital economy field among SCO countries.
