TotalEnergies (TTE.US) teams up with Mistral: 100 million bet on AI exploration, Europe's "sovereign AI" lands in core energy scenarios

Zhitong Finance APP has learned that TotalEnergies (TTE.US) will collaborate with French AI startup Mistral AI to use artificial intelligence to enhance its oil and gas exploration capabilities and extend the production life of existing oilfields. The two parties stated in a joint announcement on Tuesday that they will develop proprietary frontier models based on decades of geological science data and plan to invest more than 100 million euros (approximately 115 million US dollars) in the collaboration project within three years.
