France's August inflation rate rose to its highest level since May.
France's statistics agency INSEE said Tuesday that French consumer prices rose 2.6% year-on-year in August on an EU-harmonized basis, below the preliminary reading of 2.7% earlier this month. The harmonized inflation rate for the eurozone's second-largest economyadjusted for comparison with other eurozone countriesaccelerated from 2.4% in July, reaching its highest level since May.
