The Indonesian rupiah fell for a fourth consecutive day, weighed down by rising oil prices and broad US dollar strength. On Monday evening, President Prabowo Subianto appointed Suahasil Nazara to replace Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa as finance minister. USD/IDR rose 0.2% to 17,677; a fourth straight daily gain for the dollar against the rupiah would mark the longest winning streak since late July. Indonesia's 10-year government bond yield rose 1 basis point to 7.17%. Indonesian finance ministry data showed global funds net bought $61.4 million of Indonesian bonds on September 10.
