Lnqn: Online rumors claiming "product non-compliance and penalties imposed by multiple municipal market supervision bureaus" are false information.
On September 14, Lanqin issued a statement saying that recently, some accounts on online platforms have published and forwarded false remarks targeting Lanqin throat lozenges, including misinterpreting regulations, fabricating penalty records, swapping concepts, and inventing false consumer experiences, maliciously stirring up controversy and creating momentum, which has misled consumers and damaged the goodwill of the Lanqin brand. Lanqin throat lozenges are ordinary food. The boat sterculia seed, licorice, honeysuckle, platycodon root, gardenia, emblic leafflower fruit, Chinese olive, and monk fruit used in the product are all included in the National Health Commission's catalog of substances that are both food and medicine, and comply with the requirements of relevant national food regulations. There is no illegal addition. Certain remarks take things out of context and deliberately create the false appearance of product violations, which is seriously inconsistent with the facts. This product strictly implements national standards. The sampling inspection result by the Shanghai market regulatory authorities in September 2026 was qualified, and there is no effective administrative penalty document. Online claims that the "product is unqualified and that market supervision bureaus in multiple places have imposed penalties" are all fabricated false information.
