On September 14, Jiemian News learned that the L4 autonomous heavy truck jointly developed by Pony.ai and GAC LMC made its debut at the Hannover International Commercial Vehicle Show. Built on the GAC LMC T9 pure electric heavy truck, the model is one of the members of Pony.ai's fourth-generation autonomous heavy truck family. It is planned to achieve large-scale mass production within this year and be deployed to scenarios such as trunk line logistics, dedicated line logistics, and port transportation. The new vehicle is equipped with Pony.ai's fourth-generation L4 autonomous truck system and GAC LMC's fully redundant steer-by-wire chassis, configured with 9 lidars, 3 millimeter-wave radars, and 13 cameras, and adopts the same domain controller as the seventh-generation Robotaxi.
