China Merchants Port announced that in August 2026, total container throughput was 17.444 million TEU, down 5.3% year on year; cumulative throughput for the year was 142.254 million TEU, up 3.8% year on year. Total bulk and general cargo throughput was 88.853 million tonnes, down 17.7% year on year; cumulative throughput for the year was 806.012 million tonnes, down 4.2% year on year.
