According to the official determination of the China Earthquake Networks Center, a magnitude 4.5 earthquake occurred at 17:07 on September 14 in Mojiang Hani Autonomous County, Pu'er City, Yunnan Province, with a focal depth of 10 kilometers. The epicenter was located at 23.15 degrees north latitude and 101.61 degrees east longitude. The epicenter is 33 kilometers from Mojiang County, 59 kilometers from Ning'er County, 68 kilometers from Jiangcheng County, 77 kilometers from Simao District, and 238 kilometers from Kunming. In accordance with the Pu'er City Earthquake Emergency Plan, the Office of the Pu'er City Earthquake Relief Command decided to immediately activate a Level IV earthquake emergency response for Pu'er City and promptly carry out disaster situation verification and emergency response work. According to preliminary verification, no reports of casualties have been received so far, and other disaster situations are still under further investigation and verification.
