The Chengdu-Chongqing Middle Line High-Speed Railway has completed ballastless track construction along the entire line, with a main line length of about 292 kilometers.
Yangtze River Coastal Railway Group Chongqing Company reports that on September 14, at the construction site of the Jingkou Jialing River Grand Bridge in Chongqing, the final section of ballastless track bed slab was poured, marking the completion of ballastless track across the entire newly built Chengdu-Chongqing High-Speed Railway and laying a solid foundation for the Chengdu-Chongqing Middle Line High-Speed Railway to open to traffic on schedule. Once completed, the Chengdu-Chongqing Middle Line High-Speed Railway will interconnect with the already operational Xi'an-Chengdu High-Speed Railway and Zhengzhou-Chongqing High-Speed Railway, as well as the under-construction Xining-Chengdu High-Speed Railway and Chengdu-Dazhou-Wanzhou High-Speed Railway, among other lines, further improving the road network structure in the Chengdu-Chongqing region, significantly reducing travel time between Chengdu and Chongqing, and greatly facilitating travel for people along the route. At the same time, the line holds great strategic significance for supporting the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing Twin-City Economic Circle and promoting the formation of a new pattern for large-scale development of the western region.
