Goldman Sachs: Automobiles will become one of the main industries driving the expansion of humanoid robots.
Goldman Sachs significantly raises its global humanoid robot market forecast. As embodied AI technology continues to advance, Goldman Sachs believes that humanoid robots are rapidly moving from the prototype development stage to large-scale prototype manufacturing and commercial production. According to a recent report published by Goldman Sachs, the institution expects global humanoid robot sales to reach 6.48 million units by 2035. Compared with its previous forecast of 1.38 million units, this figure represents an increase of about 4.7 times. Over the same period, the market size forecast has also been sharply raised from about $38 billion to $138 billion, an increase of about 3.6 times. Goldman Sachs particularly pointed out that the automotive industry will become one of the main industries driving the expansion of the humanoid robot market. Automakers possess the large-scale manufacturing capabilities for complex products and global supply chains, so they are both likely to become early sources of demand for humanoid robots and major participants in their large-scale production.
