On the evening of August 10, Mr. Wu purchased 2 bottles of 1L Dongpeng beverage, Fruit Tea with Peach Oolong, at a store in Chengang Town, Chen Cang District. He also participated in a promotion by the manufacturer where he exchanged 1 yuan for 4 additional bottles, bringing home a total of 6 bottles. On August 12, he accidentally discovered that one of the bottles had a code on the cap reading 20270629, while the bottle clearly stated that the production date could be found on the cap. "Is this an early-release beverage?" he wondered. On the 15th, a staff member from Dongpeng responded that in order to comply with the latest requirements of the new labeling regulations, Dongpeng beverages are gradually switching the format of their product codes. The date code on the cap has been adjusted from indicating the production date to indicating the expiration date. During the transition period, products with both old and new labels will be sold concurrently.
