Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto discussed combating illegal mining and the execution efficiency of the government's core free meal program in his state of the nation address, which led to a rise in the Indonesian stock market. The Jakarta Composite Index initially dropped by 0.6%, but at one point surged by as much as 0.7%. The materials and energy sectors led the gains. Shares of state-owned tin mining company PT Timah rose by as much as 4%.
