Afternoon Review: The Shanghai Composite Index rose sharply before pulling back, ending down 0.21%. The electronic chemicals, CPO, and non-metallic materials sectors were among the top gainers.
The three major A-share indices showed mixed performance in the morning session. By the time of the midday break, the Shanghai Composite Index was down 0.21%, the Shenzhen Component Index was up 0.08%, the ChiNext Index was up 0.65%, the Beijing Stock Exchange 50 Index was down 0.84%, and the Sci-Tech Innovation 50 Index was down 0.57%. The total market turnover reached 1,396.4 billion yuan, a decrease of 203.4 billion yuan compared to the previous day, with over 3,400 individual stocks declining.
In terms of sectors, electronic chemicals, non-metallic materials, CPO, optical fiber concepts, and components saw the largest gains; meanwhile, sectors such as film distribution, electricity, cultural media, games, and dairy suffered the most declines. On the trading floor, electronic chemicals opened high and increased further, with Nanjing Stone Technology hitting the daily limit, followed by Sichuan Siquan New Materials, Haixing Co., Longchen Technology, Guanggang Gas, and Zhongjuxin leading in gains.
The CPO sector performed actively, with Aled, Gongjin Co., and Tianyang New Materials reaching the daily limit, while Jinge New Material, Fuxin Technology, and Maijie Technology showed significant gains. The rare earth permanent magnet sector experienced a peak before retreating, with Jintian Co. hitting the daily limit, and China Rare Earth, Huahong Technology, and Sanxiang New Materials showing notable gains.
The film distribution sector fluctuated downward, with China Central Radio and Televisions choice, Ruyi Film, and Huazhi Digital Media suffering the largest declines. The electricity sector fell sharply, with Meiyan Jixiang and Huayin Electric nearing the daily limit downward during trading, and Beijing Energy Electric, Guangdong Electric A, and YN Energy Holdings all experiencing significant drops.
