The "China Green Fuel Development Report" has been released recently, showing that biomass energy has become an important cornerstone of China's green fuel system. From waste incineration for power generation and heating to the transformation of waste cooking oil into aviation fuel, urban and rural waste is continuously being converted into green energy. According to statistics, by 2025, the total installed capacity for biomass power generation nationwide will reach 47.43 million kilowatts, with an annual biomass heating output of approximately 520 million gigajoules, a biogas production of around 550 million cubic meters, and a production capacity of bio-liquid fuels reaching 7.3 million tons of oil equivalent. The report points out that China's capacity for biomass-based aviation fuel and liquid fuels for vehicles has ranked among the top in the world. Relying on agricultural and forestry waste, kitchen waste oil, straw, and other urban and rural "biomass resources," the industrial chain is integrating the entire process from collection, storage, and transportation to conversion and manufacturing to end-use applications, with products covering transportation, aviation, heating, industrial furnaces, and other hard-to-abate sectors, effectively filling the energy gap that renewable sources like wind and solar power cannot cover.
