Virgin Galactic's new generation Delta-class spacecraft's maiden flight has been postponed to 2027.
Virgin Galactic announced that the first commercial flight of its next-generation Delta-class suborbital spaceplane will be postponed to February 2027. The previous plan was to begin commercial operations in the fourth quarter of 2026. Virgin Galactic CEO Michael Colglazier stated that this delay was not caused by a single major issue, but rather due to the extension of timelines encountered during the assembly process of the new spacecraft, which faced hundreds of relatively small but important installation tasks.
