"Fed spokesperson" Nick Timiraos: U.S. CPI data shows that core goods prices increased by 0.20% month-over-month in July, ending a two-month decline. This is the largest monthly increase since September 2025. The rise in housing costs was moderate, with a month-over-month increase of 0.14% in July. Excluding housing, core service prices rose by 0.19% month-over-month.
