The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China, the State Council of the People's Republic of China, and the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference solemnly announced: Comrade Zhu Rongji, an outstanding member of the Communist Party of China, a loyal communist fighter who has withstood the test of time, an eminent proletarian revolutionary and politician, an exceptional leader of the Party and the country, and a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the 14th and 15th Central Committees of the Communist Party of China, passed away in Beijing at 11:06 a.m. on August 12, 2026, due to ineffective medical treatment, at the age of 98.
