The first flood of this year occurred in the Chuhe River, a tributary of the Yangtze River.

Due to the influence of rainfall, at 10:25 today, the water level at the Xiaoqiao Hydrological Station on the Chuhe River, a tributary of the lower Yangtze River, rose to the warning level. In accordance with the major river flood numbering regulations, this flood has been designated as "Chuhe No. 1 Flood of 2026." The Ministry of Water Resources has initiated a Level IV emergency response for flood prevention in Jiangsu and Anhui. Currently, work teams from the Ministry are assisting and guiding flood defense efforts on the front lines in Anhui Province against typhoon-induced rainfall and flooding.
