Expectations for the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz are heating up, and Qatar is increasing its liquefied natural gas loading operations.

Qatar's liquefied natural gas loading volume has surged to its highest level since March, indicating that the country is preparing for a potential reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. The daily LNG loading volume at Ras Laffan port is approximately 80,000 tons, although this figure still represents a decrease of about 60% compared to the same period last year. Seven out of Qatar's 14 LNG production lines are showing signs of operation, suggesting that production is gradually recovering following disruptions caused by the conflict. However, whether exports can fully rebound still depends on shipping access through the Strait of Hormuz. Diplomatic negotiations are currently underway, but there is no guarantee that an agreement can be reached.
