"Film +" business model activates new consumption, with over 1.74 million existing film-related companies.

This year, the National Film Bureau, in conjunction with the Ministry of Commerce, has launched the "Film +" consumption pilot program. Sixteen cities are the first to implement relevant measures, linking diverse scenarios such as tourism, cuisine, and intangible cultural heritage through movie ticket stubs, facilitating a full chain of "food, accommodation, transportation, travel, shopping, and entertainment," which has driven an increase in cultural and tourism consumption during the summer in multiple locations. According to data from Tianyancha Professional Edition, there are currently over 1.74 million film-related enterprises in operation or existing in China. Among them, approximately 171,000 new film-related enterprises have been registered as of 2026. From the trend of enterprise registration numbers, the number of registered film-related enterprises has shown a yearly growth trend over the past five years, peaking in 2025.
