The U.S. ITC issued a final ruling on the industry damage caused by double anti-dumping duties on metallic silicon.
On August 4, the U.S. International Trade Commission voted to issue an affirmative final determination of injury from unfairly subsidized and dumped imports of metallic silicon from Australia and Norway, stating that the products in question are causing substantial harm to the U.S. industry. Based on the affirmative final determination by the U.S. International Trade Commission, the U.S. Department of Commerce will impose antidumping and countervailing duty orders on the products in question. This case mainly involves products classified under U.S. customs codes 2804.69.1000 and 2804.69.5000.
