Ningbo, Zhejiang will launch special licensed fishing today.
After more than three months of the fishing moratorium, on August 11 at 14:00, fishing vessels engaged in gill netting, trawl shrimp, pot fishing, and light surrounding net fishing in the East China Sea will be able to go out to sea for operations after completing the application and approval process. The special authorized fishing in the East China Sea for 2026 will officially commence. By then, 1,465 authorized fishing vessels from Ningbo City will set sail to catch fresh seafood, with a large number of silver pomfret, snakehead fish, shrimp, and Chinese mitten crabs successively making their way to the dining table.
