Increasing Drone Threats Prompt Germany to Establish New Agency for Research and Response

After a drone carrying explosives was discovered at Leipzig Airport in Germany, Interior Minister Alexander Dobrinth announced that the country will establish a new drone security research institution to address such threats. According to a report by the German newspaper "Bild am Sonntag" on the 9th, this new agency will be located at the German Aerospace Center testing airport in Saxony-Anhalt, eastern Germany, and will be established on the 18th of this month. Dobrinth stated that the institution will focus on developing and testing drone prevention technologies, integrating relevant researchers, conducting technological innovations according to the requirements of security agencies, and strengthening drone security research.
