Yisheng Co., Ltd.: It is expected that the market for commodity broiler chicks will be relatively good in the second half of 2026 to 2027.
During a recent institutional research meeting, Yisheng Co., Ltd. stated that from the supply side, the annual import volume of grandparent white-feathered meat chickens in China is expected to decrease by over 10% year-on-year in 2025. Coupled with the interruption of domestic breeding from January to May 2026, the reduction in grandparent breeding chickens will affect the supply of commercial breeding chicks 14 months later, leading to a tightening of the supply of high-quality commercial breeding chicks and an optimistic market price trend. From the demand side, downstream slaughtering and breeding sectors continue to expand production, with a strong willingness to increase industry capacity, resulting in a sustained rise in chick demand. At the same time, there is a general market expectation that pork prices will rebound in 2027, which is likely to drive up chicken prices and subsequently influence the commercial breeding chick sector. In summary, the company anticipates a favorable market outlook for commercial breeding chicks in the second half of 2026 through 2027.
