According to the Zhitong Finance APP, Cui Dongshu, Secretary-General of the Passenger Car Association, released an analysis of global new energy vehicles for January to June 2026 today. It noted that from January to June of this year, the worlds new energy passenger vehicles reached 11.22 million units, a year-on-year increase of 13%. In June alone, new energy vehicle sales totaled 2.38 million units, marking a 25% increase, with the growth rate returning to historical normal levels. The share of broad new energy vehicles from January to June 2026 is expected to reach 31.4%, with pure electric vehicles accounting for 16.3%, plug-in hybrids making up 7.1%, and traditional hybrids performing excellently at 8%.
