The National Standardization Technical Committee has clarified: the so-called "data national standard preparation fee" is a fraudulent charge.
On August 7, 2026, the Secretariat of the National Data Standardization Technical Committee issued a statement: Recently, the National Data Standardization Technical Committee has received multiple reports indicating that some units or individuals have fraudulently used the name of the National Data Standardization Technical Committee to charge enterprises so-called "national standards preparation fees," "standard registration fees," or "standard participation fees," and other improper charges. Such behavior severely disrupts the order of the formulation and revision of national standards and harms the reputation and legitimate rights and interests of the National Data Standardization Technical Committee. Therefore, the Secretariat of the National Data Standardization Technical Committee declares: The committee has never and will never collect any improper fees from any enterprises, institutions, social organizations, or individuals under any inappropriate names such as "standard registration," "participation acknowledgment," or "standard project initiation."
