U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission: As of the week ending August 4, speculators reduced their net short position in U.S. Treasury futures at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange by 41,225 contracts, bringing the total to 176,272 contracts. They decreased the net short position in CBOT 2-Year U.S. Treasury futures by 120,346 contracts, to 1,004,228 contracts. The net short position in CBOT 5-Year U.S. Treasury futures increased by 179,319 contracts, to 1,325,719 contracts. They reduced the net short position in CBOT 2-Year U.S. Treasury futures by 120,346 contracts, to 1,004,228 contracts. The net short position in CBOT ultra-long U.S. Treasury futures decreased by 5,723 contracts, to 314,985 contracts.
