The yield on the UK's 10-year government bonds fell more than 13 basis points this week.

On Friday, at the close of the European market, the yield on the UK 10-year government bonds declined by 2.3 basis points to 4.915%. When the US non-farm payroll report was released at 20:30 Beijing time, it fell sharply from around 4.94% to nearly 4.9%, accumulating a total drop of 13.3 basis points for the week. The 2-year UK bond yield dropped by 2.2 basis points to 4.276%, plunging from around 4.3% to about 4.25% at the time of the non-farm payroll report, marking a weekly decline of 12.5 basis points. During the week, the 30-year UK bond yield fell by a total of 11.6 basis points, and the 50-year UK bond yield dropped by 9.4 basis points. The yield spread between the 2-year and 10-year UK bonds decreased by 0.922 basis points, standing at +63.880 basis points.
