Rio Tinto and BHP are reportedly invited to participate in Trump's critical minerals conference.
The White House has invited top executives from key mineral industries in the U.S. to meet with President Donald Trump on Friday. According to informed sources, the event aims to showcase efforts made to promote the development and processing of critical minerals, as well as announce some deals and memorandums of understanding. They said that participants invited to the meeting include representatives from industry giants such as Rio Tinto, BHP Group, and Freeport-McMoRan Inc., as well as executives from companies like MP Materials Corp., USA Rare Earth Inc., Energy Fuels Inc., US Antimony Corp., Sunrise Energy Metals Ltd., and The Metals Company. Informed sources indicated that some companies have not yet decided whether to attend and which executives will be sent if they do.
