DraftKings Inc. reported that its revenue and profit for the second quarter fell short of analyst expectations, as the sports betting industry faces new challenges from predictive market players. Second-quarter revenue was $1.44 billion, below Wall Street's expectation of $1.51 billion. Adjusted EBITDA was $115 million, also missing the anticipated $154 million. The number of monthly active paying players increased by 9% year-on-year to 3.6 million, exceeding analysts' expectations of 3.2 million.
