Western Digital's decline narrowed to 10%, after falling more than 22% at one point in early trading. On Wednesday after the U.S. stock market closed, the storage giant Western Digital released its financial report for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2026, ending July 3. Driven by continued strong demand for storage products, the company exceeded expectations in both revenue and profit for the quarter, with net profit increasing more than 12 times year-over-year. The financial report indicated that Western Digital's revenue for the fourth quarter was $3.75 billion, a 44% year-over-year increase, compared to market expectations of $3.692 billion and $2.605 billion in the same period last year.
