This week, polysilicon trading has been suspended, and the market is waiting for direction.
This week, the domestic polysilicon market has generally entered a wait-and-see mode, and market transactions are at a standstill. There have been no transactions for orders this week, mainly due to the industry's increased emphasis on price discipline and maintaining orderly competition within the supply chain. Current prices are already below industry costs, and continued declines are detrimental to the healthy development of the industry. As a result, companies have suspended pricing and are waiting for clearer market direction. According to statistics from the Silicon Industry Association, the domestic polysilicon production in July was 105,100 tons, while the silicon wafer production was 55.26 GW, with an increase of 9,600 tons in inventory for the month. By the end of July, the polysilicon industry's inventory was approximately 522,000 tons. From a supply and demand perspective, the current market supply remains loose, companies still face inventory pressure, while the operating rate in the downstream silicon wafer segment remains low, and procurement demand is weak. In the short term, it is difficult for the market to effectively increase transaction volumes, and the overall trading atmosphere remains subdued.
