The price of Russian wheat has dropped due to export obstacles.

According to a report by Russia's Vedomosti, citing data from the ProZerno agency, the prices of Russian wheat and barley have dropped by 8% to 14.5% since mid-July due to restricted exports from port attacks and obstacles in sales, with year-on-year declines reaching 17.8% to 20.1%. As of July 31, the price of third-grade wheat was 13,500 rubles per ton, down 11.3% since restrictions on Azov Sea shipping began on July 10; fourth-grade wheat prices fell by 14.5%, standing at 12,200 rubles per ton. According to SovEcon, some producers have been forced to sell at prices between 8,000 and 9,000 rubles per ton, while weeks ago, prices were still at 14,000 to 15,000 rubles; the production breakeven point is about 10,000 rubles per ton. Wheat exports in July fell by 17% to 24% year-on-year, amounting to 1.6 to 1.8 million tons; barley exports plummeted by 82% year-on-year, totaling only 101,000 tons.
