Anhui's electricity load has broken historical records for two consecutive days.

According to Anhui Daily, reporters from the Anhui Energy Bureau and State Grid Anhui Electric Power learned that at 12:45 PM on August 4, Anhui's maximum electricity load once again broke the historical record, reaching 69.99 million kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 2.1%, following a record high on August 3. The growth in electricity consumption data is driven both by the internal momentum of economic development and by the direct impact of recent high temperatures. In the first half of this year, the sales volume of electricity by State Grid Anhui Electric Power increased by 5.97% year-on-year, with the growth rate up by 4.88 percentage points compared to the same period last year. New business models represented by charging and swapping services and computing power centers continue to experience rapid growth, with the growth rate of computing power centers hitting historic highs for six consecutive months, strongly confirming the vigorous momentum of Anhui's green low-carbon transformation and the booming development of the digital economy. The recent frequent high-temperature weather, which has intensified the release of cooling loads from air conditioning units, has directly contributed to the record highs in electricity load.
