According to reports from the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau, the "14th Five-Year Plan for High-Quality Development of Meteorology in Shanghai" has recently been issued and implemented. According to the Plan, by 2030, Shanghai will have essentially established a modern meteorological system that aligns with the representation of a socialist modern international metropolis with greater global influence. The modernization of meteorological scientific and technological capabilities and social service levels will experience significant leaps, with major breakthroughs in key core technologies. An integrated and seamless intelligent monitoring and forecasting business system across land, sea, air, and space will be basically established, public satisfaction will continue to rise, and the capacity and effectiveness of meteorological governance will steadily improve. By 2035, Shanghai will fully establish a meteorological science and technology innovation center with global influence and an internationally leading smart meteorological city, achieving world-class standards in supporting urban resilience, security, and high-quality development.
