On August 4, China United Airlines Co., Ltd. issued a notice stating that starting from August 5, 2026, the company will adjust the fuel surcharge for passenger transportation on domestic routes. The specific standards are as follows: 1. Fuel surcharge standards for domestic route passenger transportation: for segments under 800 kilometers, a charge of RMB 40 per passenger; for segments over 800 kilometers, a charge of RMB 70 per passenger. 2. Infants enjoying 10% of the adult fare for domestic civil aviation tickets are exempt from the fuel surcharge. 3. For children, disabled revolutionary soldiers, and public security personnel disabled while on duty, who purchase tickets at 50% of the adult fare for domestic civil aviation, the fuel surcharge standards are: for segments under 800 kilometers, a charge of RMB 20 per passenger; for segments over 800 kilometers, a charge of RMB 30 per passenger. 4. For international tickets, the actual calculation results from the system shall prevail. 5. The effective date for the fuel surcharge is based on the original ticket issuance date. For domestic tickets sold before August 5, 2026, if changed to a date after August 5, 2026, the fuel surcharge already collected will not be refunded or adjusted.
