Hong Kong: The total estimated revenue of restaurants in the second quarter is HKD 27.2 billion, a year-on-year increase of 0.4%.
According to the Zhitong Finance APP, the Hong Kong government's Census and Statistics Department released the latest provisional figures on restaurant revenues and purchase amounts today (August 4). The provisional estimate of the total revenue for restaurants in the second quarter of 2026 is HK$27.2 billion, an increase of 0.4% year-on-year. During the same period, the provisional estimate of the total purchase amount for restaurants is HK$8.8 billion, a year-on-year increase of 2.5%. After excluding the impact of price changes, the provisional estimate of total restaurant revenue in real terms for the second quarter of 2026 has decreased by 0.4% compared to the same period last year.
