Boeing responds to the FAA certification of the 737-7.

On August 4, Boeing announced that the Boeing 737-7 has received certification from the Federal Aviation Administration, stating, "This milestone marks the furthest-reaching member of the 737 MAX family passing rigorous design and testing validation, and it is a recognition of the determination and resilience of our 737 MAX development team." Boeing added, "The certification program included over 1,000 hours of flight and ground testing, as well as safety analyses overseen by the FAA. This airworthiness approval means we can deliver the first 737-7 aircraft to airlines."
