In July, China's logistics industry prosperity index continued to expand, with notable development in multimodal transport.
The China Logistics and Purchasing Federation announced today the Logistics Prosperity Index for July. The index continues to demonstrate expansion, with the new orders index rising for the consecutive month, indicating further improvement in industrial logistics. The Logistics Prosperity Index for July is 50.4%, a decrease of 0.2 percentage points from the previous month, but overall still indicates expansion. Looking at the sub-indices, the new orders index for July stands at 50.5%, an increase of 0.2 percentage points from the previous month, marking five consecutive months of growth this year. Specifically, the new orders indexes for the railway transportation, road transportation, and multimodal transport sectors increased by 0.1, 0.2, and 0.4 percentage points respectively. Additionally, although the overall business volume index fell compared to the previous month, it has remained in the expansion zone for three straight months. Notably, the business volume index for the multimodal transport sector is at 54%, up by 0.5 percentage points from the previous month. Various regions continue to innovate multimodal transport solutions, achieving further breakthroughs in areas such as rail-sea intermodal transport, single ticket system, and data interconnectivity.
