Heavy rain and strong convective weather warnings have been issued, with many regions experiencing heavy downpours. Some areas will see thunderstorm winds exceeding level 10.

At 6:00 AM on August 4th, the Central Meteorological Observatory continued to issue a yellow warning for heavy rain and a blue warning for severe convective weather. It is expected that from 8:00 AM on August 4th to 8:00 AM on August 5th, certain areas in the central and southern parts of Heilongjiang, southeastern Shaanxi, southern Shanxi, western Henan, eastern Chongqing, western Hubei, western Hunan, eastern and southern Guizhou, western and southern Yunnan, northern and southeastern Guangxi, southwestern Guangdong, and Hainan Island will experience heavy to torrential rain, with localized areas in eastern Chongqing, southwestern Hubei, northwestern Hunan, western Yunnan, the southeastern coastal areas of Guangxi, southwestern Guangdong, and the northern and southwestern parts of Hainan Island facing extremely heavy rain; these regions will also experience short-duration heavy rainfall, with localized severe convective weather such as thunderstorms, strong winds, or hail.
